OBAMACARE UPHELD; MANCHIN STANDS FOR OBAMA
Joe Manchin Proves Rubber Stamp Label

CHARLESTON, W.VA. – In a critical vote and as a critical voter on whether to repeal or keep Obamacare, Joe Manchin again has chosen to stand with President Obama rather than the people of West Virginia.

“Joe Manchin has again affirmed his label as a “rubber stamp” for Obama and his liberal friends in Washington.  Rather than stand for the overwhelming majority of his constituents, Joe Manchin chose to stand for Obama in a critical test of his loyalty to West Virginia or the far left agenda.  Manchin chose the latter,” said Mike Stuart, Chairman of the West Virginia Republican Party.  “Joe Manchin has fallen in line as the liberal Democrat leadership in Washington demands.  West Virginians cannot afford our U.S. Senator to play “follow the leader” when that leader is Obama and Harry Reid.”

Mike Stuart continued, “To date, twenty-seven states have joined together to sue the federal government over Obamacare and a federal judge this week affirmed that challenge.  Clearly the White House also understands the terrible nature of the bill because nearly 800 unions and companies have already been granted waivers from complying with the heinous provisions of Obamacare and thousands more are in the hopper.  Obamacare is bad for the nation and devastating for West Virginia," said Stuart.

"Joe Manchin had a chance to stand for us but, instead, he chose to stand squarely against the people of West Virginia, our businesses, our seniors, and the entire West Virginia family.  Apparently Joe Manchin cannot withstand the peer pressure of his liberal friends in Washington.  He needs to choose his friends more wisely.”
